Eye movement Densensitization And Reprocessing (EMDR)
“Why EMDR? EMDR works fast, is integrative, doesn’t necessitate prolonged exposure (which can be re-traumatizing), and requires no homework. It activates natural processing capacities of the brain that are frozen and deactivated by trauma. It re-establishes disrupted communication between the brain regions impacted by traumatic experience and enables the traumatized brain to heal.”

EMDR is a powerful, evidenced based therapy that can help you move forward more quickly than as with traditional talk therapy. It is designed to help your brain process and release distressing experiences, memories and associated negative cognitions so they no longer feel overwhelming or intrusive.
Through bilateral eye movements, EMDR allows your mind to reprocess stuck memories, so they lose their emotional intensity and stop interfering with your present life. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR does not require you to go into detail of what happened in the past.
EMDR can help you:
Reduce anxiety, stress, and trauma-related symptoms
Feel more grounded and less triggered
Shift negative beliefs and build self-confidence and self-worth
Experience emotional freedom and lasting change
If you’ve tried other types of therapy and still feel weighed down, EMDR might be the missing piece. I’m here to help you explore whether it’s a good fit.
