FAQ

HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?

Sessions for individuals are $175 and sessions for couples are $200.

WHAT IF I CAN'T AFFORD THAT?

Occasionally, I am able to offer a lower fee based on financial need. Please inquire if this applies to you. If those time slots are full, I will be happy to provide you with referrals for sliding scale therapy.

WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT? WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE?

Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. For virtual sessions, I require a credit card, which I process on a weekly basis through a HIPAA-Compliant system called Ivy Pay. You will receive a text or email notifications after each session. I request payment at the end of each session.

I am out of network and do not directly bill insurance. When requested, I can offer a superbill on a monthly basis, which you can submit to your insurance company in case they offer reimbursement.

HOW LONG Are Sessions? How often Would We Meet?

Sessions last 60 minutes. Ideally, we would meet once a week. Depending on your goals and symptoms, we may decide to meet more or less than that.

HOW LONG WILL THERAPY LAST?

This depends on the severity of the issue you're facing as well as your goals for treatment. Typical EMDR therapy is about eight sessions. More traditional therapy can last from several sessions to many months. I am happy to discuss this with you after our first few sessions to give you an estimate.

Do you see Clients with any problem area or diagnosis?

In order to provide the highest quality of care, I only work with clients whose needs align with my area of expertise. If a diagnosis or issue falls outside of my scope, I believe it’s in the client’s best interest to refer them to a provider who is better suited to support them.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

It happens. I request that cancelations be made 24 hours before your appointment.  The late cancelation fee is $100 and a no-show fee is the full session rate.

DO YOU OFFER IN OFFICE OR Virtual Therapy?

As of July 2025, I have a few openings for virtual therapy. Currently, I have no in office openings. Please contact me to schedule a free consultation.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?

During our first session, we will discuss your goals for therapy, review your history and I will answer any questions you may have about me and/or the therapy process. Then, we will discuss a plan for treatment. to make sure we’re on the same page. The first session typically covers Phase 1 in EMDR, which is History Taking and Treatment Planning.

For couples therapy, I like to get to know how the couple typically interacts while I gather history, problem areas and create goals. I do not take sides and I am not here to blame. If one person in the relationship is anxious or resistant to therapy, please feel free to contact me so we can discuss that.
